A 200 acre, outdoor wedding and events venue gets an updated visual identity to establish itself as more than just a beautiful space to say “I do”.
Situated on 200 acres of picturesque woodland alongside the Meramec River, the Lost Hill Lake has been making brides happy since 2013 as a unique wedding venue with its picturesque landscape and top-notch customer service.
The owners wanted to expand the types of events offered on the property to include glamping, festivals, retreats, and rent the property for private events. They felt their original logo and brand didn’t speak to an audience beyond wedding clients.
In order to grow awareness about their re- brand, we partnered with Lost Hill Lake to update their look and build a beautiful new Squarespace website that showcased their new offerings in a logical way.
We also created a series of hand-drawn icons to better showcase the variety of services and events offered by Lost Hill Lake. The tree and leaf icon both reference a black walnut tree, which plays an important role at Lost Hill Lake. The centerpiece of the venue is a stunning grove of 50-year old black walnut trees laid out in beautiful, symmetrical rows.
The new logo and icons still have an elegant feel appropriate for a wedding venue, but feature more of the rustic charm offered by the entire property.

The hand-drawn illustrations lend the brand a rustic charm, fitting for its scenic, rural location. The different illustrations signify different services offered by Lost Hill Lake.
We selected a naturally-inspired, neutral green palette that flatters the incredible photography the venue has access to. Since their original logo was green, the new color palette helped tie older brand elements with the re-brand.
